Whitney Vitale discovered her passion for college admissions while giving campus tours as a student at Lehigh University. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for guiding students through the college process. Deciding to become a college admissions counselor, she earned her masters degree and went on to work in the admissions offices of the University of Maryland, Seton Hall University, and Princeton University. Working for over fifteen years on the college side of the desk gave Whitney deep insight into what admission officers look for and how they make decisions.
Wanting to have a more personal impact, Whitney transitioned into college counseling, working at a private high school and various college counseling services. Today, with over 25 years of experience in admissions and guidance, she brings unmatched expertise, compassion, and strategic insight to every student she works with.
Whitney knows how to help students craft applications that stand out, tell their story with authenticity, and find the colleges where they’ll truly thrive. She’s dedicated to making the process less overwhelming and more empowering—for both students and parents.

Jeannine and Whitney were unbelievably helpful with my two daughters’ college application processes. From brainstorming and editing the main essay and many supplementals to making sure my girls’ achievements stood out on the Common App-we couldn’t have done it without them! Jeannine and Whitney are so knowledgeable in helping clients create their college lists with a deep understanding of what schools are looking for in an applicant. Both my girls got into very selective schools- Michigan and Wesleyan- and we are so indebted to the College Rx for making sure their applications were polished, unique and competitive.
5 months agoThese ladies are a life saver! We started our journey with Whitney and Jeannine in 2022 with my twin boys, then my daughter in 2023, and finally with my youngest this year! I can honestly say that I don’t think I would have survived this process without them. They are patient, kind, and my teens found it very easy to connect with them. I'm proud to say that all 4 kids were accepted to their top choice of schools, but more importantly the 3 already living their college lives are thriving exactly where they belong!
3 months agoMy daughter loved her essay writing experience with College Rx! Jeannine set a schedule to provide support & structure to the whole experience. She really helped Amelia find her voice. One week prior to the deadlines, I signed up for the Final Application Review service too! Can't say enough great things. For my son, I will be signing up for the Complete Admissions Package. If you are reading this... YES this service is really worth it. I wish I had found College Rx sooner!
5 months agoWe had an incredible experience working with Whitney and Jeannine. Thanks to their guidance, my son was accepted into his first choice school, Boston College. Whitney has a high level of expertise in college advising and was always available to answer any questions, making the process seamless and stress-free. Jeannine was an invaluable asset when it came to brainstorming and refining his essays-she brought a unique spin to every supplemental question and truly enhanced his writing. Their expertise and dedication made all the difference. I highly recommend their service.
5 months agoThe College Rx was amazing! I've had 2 of my children (and about to sign up my 3rd!) work with Jeannine and Whitney. Both brought such a unique and knowledgeable approach to the application process. Their approach is two-fold, combining their expertise in writing and college admissions. They were warm, easy to work with, and readily available whenever we had questions. I would highly recommend them!
